General Server Moderation
Goal of this document
As we continue to grow, we will encounter more and more users. Each user is unique and valuable to this project. By standardizing the way we communicate, we will both bring satisfaction to our users and look more professional while doing so. The way we act is a direct reflection of the C3 team as a whole.
Moderation goals
Be Compassionate
We treat everyone we encounter with compassion, seeing each person as a player and community member first behind their problems and experiences. They are more than just a username on our discord.
Be Mindful
Social media is and always will be a place to vent. Do not take things personally regardless of what users may express. Though there are limitations to what we should allow and tolerate, we must remember that gaming is a way for users to escape their real world problems and an emotional space for many people. C3 Gaming is built on the concept of engaging with like-minded individuals. There will be ups and downs, but hopefully we build life-long friendships.
Research First
We challenge our own and others' assumptions through qualitative and quantitative research. Not sure about an idea? Ask! C3 Gaming is an extension of our personal journey in gaming. Though not exclusive, our primary gaming platform is Minecraft. We welcome all walks of gaming and encourage others to do the same. Due to the technical nature of Minecraft, our goal is to be a resouce for everything from Survival tips to SMP economy domination. If you have an idea, don't be afraid to suggest it. If you have a question don't be afraid to ask it! However, we must be sure of the information we are giving the users. If you do not know how to answer a question, ask first and respond second. As a moderator, you will have privileges in the server that can make a huge difference. Be sure about the action you are going to take before you take it.
